JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Got a toolbox, a can-do attitude, and a knack for fixing things? We want you on our team.

We're on the hunt for a handy, proactive teammate to join the Facilities and Maintenance crew at Accolade on Gray St - one of Adelaide's most prominent student accommodation sites. If you like variety, hands-on problem-solving, and a job where no two days look the same, this one's for you.

JOB DESCRIPTION

,Able al You'll be the go-to person keeping the building running smoothly and residents smiling. A typical day might include:

  • Tackling maintenance requests and repairs across apartments and shared spaces

  • Getting rooms guest-ready for new residents — from quick fixes to final checks

  • Keeping on top of lighting, safety systems, and general building upkeep

  • Logging maintenance and safety checks in our system to keep everything organised and on track

  • Liaising with contractors and suppliers on site

  • Lending residents a friendly hand (and a smile) when something goes wrong

  • Sharing an on-call roster for after-hours support with the team

What you bring

No need for decades of experience, just solid practical skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to get stuck in.

  • Some experience in maintenance, facilities, or a trade (plumbing, carpentry, general handyman work, electrical, HVAC, painting, etc.)

  • A trade qualification is a bonus — not a must

  • Handy with tools, comfortable with tech, and a good team player

  • Solid grasp of safety basics (manual handling, chemical safety etc)

  • Able to lift up to 12kg, climb ladders, and stay on your feet throughout the day
