JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, build, and maintain enterprise-level HR reporting solutions across platforms such as Workday and Dayforce, with a focus on delivering complex, high-impact insights that drive strategic and operational decisions. Utilize advanced reporting methods to develop custom reports, dashboards, and relational datasets that address nuanced business needs. Apply deep knowledge of data modeling, calculated metrics, conditional logic, and user-driven interactivity to produce scalable solutions that support stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Maintain and enhance HR Support dashboards (e.g., Workday Help); analyze trends to identify reporting opportunities for enhanced insights.
- Meet with customers from the business to understand their problem statement and then recommend options for reporting and analytics.
- Interpret business needs and translate non-technical or ambiguous requests into clear, executable reporting solutions
- Deliver recurring and ad-hoc reports, including key metrics, KPIs, and trend analysis, to support strategic and operational decision-making
- Develop and manage Microsoft Power BI datasets and dashboards to support scalable reporting and enhanced data visualization beyond native Dayforce and Workday capabilities
- Deliver high-quality audit ready, compliance and legislative reporting including but not limited to EE0-1, State Pay Data Reporting, Multiple Worksite Reporting, Workers Compensation and other cyclical federal and state reporting and auditing requirements
- Develops reporting solutions that blend technical precision with creative problem-solving—thinking beyond out-of-the-box functionality to design scalable, business-aligned outcomes.
- Continuously identifies opportunities to optimize Workday reports for performance, usability, and reusability—reducing manual effort and improving end-user experience.
- Ensures report accuracy and integrity by embedding quality checks, investigating data discrepancies or unexpected results, and collaborating with data owners to resolve issues at the source; proactively responds to stakeholder inquiries by analyzing report logic, validating data sources, and providing clear, actionable explanations.
- Partner cross-functionally with internal team members, report consumers, and data/process owners to ensure reporting solutions are accurate, aligned with business needs, and informed by upstream processes and system configurations
- Contribute to a collaborative, cross-functional team model by actively supporting reporting responsibilities across both Workday and Dayforce, ensuring seamless delivery, skill versatility, and shared ownership of Reporting & Records functions.
- Leverage emerging technologies, including AI tools such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, to enhance productivity, support innovation, and drive operational excellence—using them as general-purpose tools to streamline work, solve problems, and generate insights, such as aiding in the design, development, and troubleshooting of complex Workday reports including calculated fields, advanced logic, and data comparisons.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong understanding of data structures, reporting logic, and workflow design within enterprise HCM systems such as Dayforce and Workday, spanning a variety of functional areas such as HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Performance, Payroll & Timekeeping.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of HR metrics and analytics to support the development of strategic dashboards and to guide business leaders in interpreting workforce data effectively.
- Proficiency in Power BI, with demonstrated experience in data modeling, reusable datasets, and advanced data transformation techniques to prepare clean, analysis-ready datasets
- Significant experience building reporting using Report Writer, Advanced/Matrix/Composite Reports, Calculated Fields, Dashboards, Worksheets Discovery Boards
- Designs reports in alignment with role-based security model to ensure appropriate data visibility and compliance with internal access protocols and align with data governance, privacy, and compliance standards
- Strong understanding of HCM data structures, business processes, and reporting logic across a variety of functional systems and areas
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, conditional formatting, and large dataset reconciliation
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and respond to urgent reporting needs in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrates a strong desire to continuously learn and quickly apply new Workday features, tools, and methods to deliver higher-quality reports and enhance stakeholder value.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS:
- Workday Pro Reporting Certification is preferred, or equivalent training and experience
- Significant depth of experience building reports in Dayforce Designer
- 5+ years of experience designing and delivering reports or dashboards that blend technical accuracy with a strong understanding of business needs and stakeholder priorities.
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Team members work in an office or remote work environment. No special physical demands are required.
- Rare or occasional travel may be required to attend business meetings, training programs, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 annually.
Additional Compensation:
Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.
Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
